Justification
- Safety: There are several dangerous curves and limited shoulders throughout this segment of roadway
- Traffic Volume: 7,800 vehicles per day; expected to increase to 11,600 vehicles per day by 2022
Purpose
- To provide additional roadway capacity and improve traffic operations
Planned Improvements
- Upgrade Mount Gallant Road to a three-lane section including a center turn lane with paved shoulders and ditches
- Install provisions for bicycles
