Justification
- Traffic Volume: 6,600 vehicles per day; expected to increase to at least 9,800 per day by 2022
- Traffic Flow: Plans show significant future development along this corridor, including new subdivisions and a new high school
Purpose
- To provide additional roadway capacity, improve traffic operations and improve drainage
Planned Improvements
- Upgrade SC Highway 72 to a three-lane section including a center turn lane with curb and gutter
- Install bikeway and sidewalk provisions
